Named for Elizabeth Taylor’s iconic role as the Queen of the Nile, the movie classic that sparked her romance with costar Richard Burton, the Cleopatra suite is designed with royal tastes in mind. From the gleaming hand-turned posters of the Colonial king-size bed to the antique armoire and ornately carved sink and mirror, this is an exquisitely appointed suite. The spacious bath features a claw-foot tub positioned to take in gorgeous views that skim over the red clay rooftops of Puerto Vallarta and on to Banderas Bay, whose aqua waters stretch to the horizon. French doors from both the bed and bath open to a private patio with a sunken Jacuzzi where each day’s romantic sunsets are framed by the patio’s grand pillars.
