Flora

Named for Elizabeth Taylor’s excessively wealthy character In Boom!, the film version of a Tennessee Williams play, the Flora Suite is on the ground level of Casa Kimberly and opens onto the hotel’s courtyard and pool—which is exactly as it was when Taylor and Burton lounged and swam there. The rose motif of the luxurious queen-size bed’s carved headboard is echoed in the upholstery of the gilded antique chairs. Crystal light fixtures top both bedside tables.

In the bath, two rows of arched clerestory windows access the coastal light, and handmade ceramic tiles line the spacious shower. A rainfall-style showerhead assures a luxuriant experience.
