Get ready for some riverside fun this spring! The 8th Annual Riverfest is floating into Puerto Vallarta March 2 and 3. The entertainment-filled weekend will be held at El Rio BBQ and feature food and libations from El Rio BBQ, Barcelona Tapas and Pasta Fresca, as well as live music, raffles, and artisan exhibits all benefiting Pasitos de Luz, a local non-profit organization founded by mothers of disabled children.
Beginning at 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 2, attendees will enjoy live music from Gecko Band, followed by Brimstone at 1:00 pm, Anna and The Others at 2:30 pm, The Texas Embassy Blues Band at 3:30 pm, The Jokers at 4:30 pm and La Trez Cuartoz at 5:30 pm. Sunday’s lineup features tunes from Piel Canela at 1:00 pm, The Cheko Ruiz Band at 2:00 pm, Los Bambinos at 3:15 pm, and Johanna’s Band at 4:30 pm.
The cost to attend Riverfest is a donation of $100 pesos at the gate (excludes refreshments). Advance tickets can be purchased by contacting Barb Bremner at condo211(at)yahoo.ca.
Alternatively, attendees can purchase a ‘Benefactor for a Day’ pass for $900 pesos per person or a table of eight for $6400 pesos. The package includes:
- Early bird parking
- Priority reserved seating
- Welcome margarita or beer
- Complimentary snacks
- Unlimited non-alcoholic beverages all day
- One complimentary buffet per person from 2-5 pm
On Sunday, the ‘Sunday Patron Ticket Package,’ can be purchased for $1500 pesos per group of four people. The package includes:
- Gate entry
- Reserved seating
- Welcome drink (beer, margarita or limonada)
- A family-style Riverfest Parrillada lunch that includes BBQ chicken, ribs, chorizo, arrachera complemented by beans, guacamole, rice, etc.
