One of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton’s best known movies, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf, debuted just two years after Burton gave his wife Casa Kimberly as a 32nd birthday present—and earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress. The Virginia Suite, on an upper floor, has stunning panoramic views of Banderas Bay, the Sierra Madre Mountains and the red-tiled rooftops of Puerto Vallarta. A chandelier with a cascade of crystals hangs above a gorgeous bombe chest with gilded trim at one end of the room, and an antique oil painting hangs on the other. Between the two, a beautifully sculpted king-size bed with barley twist posts sits serenely, overlooking the terrace and scenery of this hilltop perch.
